Years of Sorrow, Years of Shame: Enough with the Blame!

Part V of V

Hello, Will!

Thank you for your note!

Four years ago my kids gave me this pc for my birthday. One of them thought I'd have no use for a computer, but the others prevailed, so I'm told, and now look at me, a retired department store "service a la clientele" (customer service) worker exchanging notes with academics halfway around the world! My kids roll their eyes and the grandkids assume I'm "on the computer again" when they phone and the line is busy!

I bet you think that a retired senior would have lots of time for reading and knitting and stuff, but you'd be mistaken! My friends are all busy all the time--a 78 yr old friend belongs to 3 bowling leagues and a bridge club, and if you want to catch her you'd better phone by 9 am! (And she had a knee replacement just 7 months ago)

An Argument

Cultural Differences

We'd had a lovely evening, sans children (thanks to the G-ma and G-Pa).

Simple dishes that tasted 'oh so good' (quite healthy too).

And the discussion rolled around to yeast.

Yeast? (Like, as infection?)

Yes "yeast" as in what a person would find if they googled it and were interested enough to read through the Wikipedia entry. Because, somewhere in there, you'd come across "Kombucha". (Pictured below from the "Wikipedia" entry for those of you who really don't want to "geek-out" on the sh--).

Then...then...

Snack Review: Horse Penis

Layers...

Sites that are set up well all seem to have a solid theme, whether the author is consciously aware of it or not.  And having an 'about' page is definitely helpful.
In that way, this site is not designed so well. Yet?

Eh...excuse me, but what does this or anything you could possibly write about have to do with what is mentioned in the title?

One blog that's kept my attention is actually fairly mundane, on the surface anyway. But a mind that can put something together so well and keep ideas flowing on a fairly consistent basis...that I do notice. I felt that I had to keep looking, like there was something to be gleaned. Lo and behold, I found it! But first, let's talk about the horse's dick.

Excuse me sir, I'm leav...

Wait! I'll show it to you.

Years of Sorrow, Years of Shame: Revisionists' History?

Part IV of V

Almost there.

"Where?" Someone might ask.

Well, to a place that took a while to get to, sometimes driven more by a sense often blamed for feline peril than for anything else.

It won't hurt to just check it out. Really?

Curiosity...that little flame that can burn so bright, a cold moon slicing through the velvet darkness, beams brighter than the blazing sun, chasing away sleep as it torments thoughts, letting neither the dreamer nor the notion get a full night's rest.

Unearthed...

Honesty. Had I not pursued this ugliness of a notion, had I been intimidated by bigotry and blame, just buried it and gone on, part of my mind would not have found the restful peace that it has only been able to reach, but first I had to be willing to make the journey.

No Place's Eight

A few days ago, a blogger mentioned something about taking pictures of things seen everyday that are not usually noticed and then posted her photos. Even though everything is new again, in an attempt to keep with the theme, here goes...
